Basketball Game Preview: Valley View Eagles vs. Whitesboro Bearcats

Valley View is 0-9 against Whitesboro since December of 2020 but things could change on Tuesday. The Valley View Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Whitesboro Bearcats at 7:30 p.m.

Valley View is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 12th straight game on Friday. They came up short against Boyd, falling 55-33.

Meanwhile, Whitesboro beat Boyd 65-57 on Tuesday. Given the Bearcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 301st, while the Yellowjackets are ranked 985th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Whitesboro is also on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 23-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.3 points per game. As for Valley View, their loss dropped their record down to 10-18.
