Volleyball Recap: Collegiate Takes a Loss

Collegiate was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Hesston Swathers. If the Spartans were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Swathers when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-12.

Carlyle Johnson paced Collegiate's offense, picking up four kills. Johnson got some help from Maddie Ternes and her four assists.

Collegiate's defeat dropped their record down to 15-17. As for Hesston, they pushed their record up to 23-12 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Coincidentally, Collegiate and Hesston will both be playing Neodesha the next time they take the court. The Spartans will head out to face the Blue Streaks at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Swathers will play them later in the day, at 6:00 p.m.
