Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Argos). They came out on top against the Bethany Christian Bruins by a score of 39-30 on Saturday. The Dragons have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bruins, too.

When it comes to explaining why Bethany Christian lost, don't look at Kendra Kern. Despite the final result, she shot 43% from the field to rack up 14 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. Kern continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Cori Chupp was another key player, putting up nine points.

Argos' first win this season bumped their record up to 1-8. As for Bethany Christian, their loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-6.

Coming up, Argos will challenge North Judson-San Pierre at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bethany Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Prairie Heights at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
