Basketball Game Preview: Bonny Eagle Scots vs. Deering Rams

Bonny Eagle is 2-8 against Deering since January of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Bonny Eagle Scots will venture away from home to take on the Deering Rams at 2:00 p.m. Deering took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Bonny Eagle, who comes in off a win.

Last Tuesday, Bonny Eagle strolled past Massabesic with points to spare, taking the game 63-46. The contest marked the Scots' most dominant win of the season.

Meanwhile, Deering ended up a good deal behind Portland on Thursday and lost 60-41. The matchup marked the Rams' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Deering's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Bonny Eagle, their victory ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-6.

Bonny Eagle came up short against Deering in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, falling 62-54. Can Bonny Eagle avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
