Volleyball Recap: Butte Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Gracie Jonart and Ellie Yates + How To Watch

Butte lost against Helena back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bulldogs took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bengals. While the Bulldogs didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Bengals 25-21 in the first set.

Butte started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-18, 25-20, 25-21.

Ellie Yates and Gracie Jonart certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Yates had ten digs and three aces, while Jonart had ten kills and ten digs. Jonart is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had five or more in each of the last 13 games she's played.

This is the second loss in a row for Butte and nudges their season record down to 4-20. As for Helena, their win bumped their record up to 11-9.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Butte will take on rival Capital at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Helena is set to square off against their familiar foe Big Sky at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
