Volleyball Recap: Jefferson Takes a Loss

Jefferson lost against University back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Cougars came up short against the Hawks, falling 3-0. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Jefferson was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-22, 25-18.

Liv Mercer paced Jefferson's offense, picking up seven kills. Mercer got some help from Aven Thorn and her 12 assists. Sarah Diaz controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 11-19-3. As for University, they pushed their record up to 28-10-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Jefferson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for University, they will take on Musselman at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
