Softball Game Preview: Rockwood Tigers vs. Greenback Cherokees

Rockwood hasn't had much luck against Greenback recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Tigers will host the Cherokees at 6:00 p.m.

Rockwood fell victim to Harriman and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Blue Devils, falling 10-0.

Meanwhile, the third road contest was the charm for Greenback, as they earned their first away victory of the season. They walked away with an 11-6 win over Midway on Wednesday.

Greenback let Karli Hammontree and Juliana Page run wild. Hammontree went 2-for-5 with four RBI, one run, and one double, while Page scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. Those two stolen bases gave Page a new career-high. Addison Brown was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Rockwood's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Greenback, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.
