Baseball Recap: Kingsburg Gets the Win

Kingsburg's tournament run continued when they took on Sanger West on Tuesday. The Kingsburg Vikings narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Sanger West Hornets 2-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Vikings.

Kingsburg got a great performance from Travis Clifton as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over six innings pitched.

On the hitting side, King Rodriquez was excellent, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-3.

Kingsburg now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Sanger West, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coming up, Kingsburg will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Lemoore at 6:00 p.m. Lemoore will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Kingsburg surely won't give up without a fight. As for Sanger West, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 10-0 defeat against Golden West on the 7th.
