Football Recap: Millbury Takes a Loss

Millbury lost against Uxbridge back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Woolies took a 25-20 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Spartans. Despite 72 more yards than the Spartans, the Woolies couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.

When it comes to explaining why Millbury lost, don't look at Anthony Hernandez. Despite the final result, he rushed for 151 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.4 yards per carry. Hernandez showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 55 yards. Aiden Phillipo also helped out with an impressive 90 receiving yards.

Camden Lachapelle produced another solid effort rushing for 248 yards and three TDs while picking up 9.5 yards per carry for Uxbridge. Lachapelle's rushing production has been exceptional for a while as that marked his 19th straight game with at least 122 rushing yards dating back to last season.

Millbury's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Uxbridge, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Millbury will welcome Bay Path RVT at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Uxbridge, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Blackstone Valley RVT at 7:00 p.m. The Spartans will be up against the Beavers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 32.2 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
