Volleyball Recap: South Stokes Takes a Loss

South Stokes managed to slip by Forbush the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Sauras came up short against the Falcons on Wednesday, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Sauras have suffered since August 19th.

While South Stokes was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-18, 25-15.

Tianna Corum paced South Stokes' offense, picking up ten kills. Corum got some help from Olivia Amos and her 20 assists.

Karly Berrier went supernova For Forbush., getting 20 digs and two aces.

With the defeat, South Stokes broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-5. As for Forbush, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-5.

South Stokes has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Winston-Salem Preparatory Academy on the 11th. As for Forbush, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-2 victory against North Surry on the 11th.
