Basketball Recap: Cross Stingrays vs. Andrew Jackson Academy Warriors
Cross was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Andrew Jackson Academy Warriors and fell 67-37. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Stingrays this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 78-69 on January 10th.
Andrew Jackson Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Hall Sease led the charge by dropping a double-double on 18 points and 19 boards. Those 19 rebounds gave Sease a new career-high. Hayden McClung was another key player, going 7 for 14 on his way to 15 points along with six boards and five assists.
Cross' loss dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Andrew Jackson Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.
