Volleyball Recap: Smethport Takes a Loss

After flying high against Galeton on Thursday, Smethport came back down to earth. The Hubbers came up short against the Ridgway Elker on Monday, falling 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-7, 25-8.

Addison Wimer paced Smethport's offense, picking up two kills. Wimer got some help from Jenna Goodman and her four assists. Finally, Macy Smith kept Smethport's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Smethport's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Ridgway, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Smethport wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Coudersport on the 24th. Ridgway has also already played their next contest (against Brockway), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
