Volleyball Recap: Kimball Comes Up Short

Kimball was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Paxton Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Longhorns of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-19, 25-12.

When it comes to explaining why Kimball lost, don't look at Hannah Kilgore. Despite the final result, she had 12 digs and three assists. Kilgore is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last 16 games she's played.

Kimball now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Paxton, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-10 record this season.

Kimball wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 loss against Haxtun on the 16th. As for Paxton, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Hitchcock County on the 16th.
