Basketball Recap: Goessel Comes Up Short

Goessel lost against Little River back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Goessel Bluebirds took a blow against the Little River Redskins, falling 55-22.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Little River to victory, but perhaps none more so than Logan Renken, who posted 11 points and four steals. What's more, Renken also racked up three assists, the most he's had since back in December of 2023. Jaxson Konen was another key player, going 5 of 9 on his way to 11 points.

Goessel's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Little River, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Goessel will face off against Canton-Galva on Friday. As for Little River, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Moundridge at 7:00 p.m.
