Basketball Game Preview: Mid Valley Spartans vs. Holy Cross Crusaders

The Mid Valley Spartans will head out to face off against the Holy Cross Crusaders at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.

Last Thursday, Mid Valley came up short against Riverside and fell 52-39. The defeat continues a trend for the Spartans in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now lost three in a row.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Demaja Dunston, who posted 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremy Cali, who had ten points and three steals.

Meanwhile, Holy Cross waltzed into their contest on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They snuck past the Blue Devils with a 61-56 win.

Mid Valley's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Holy Cross, their victory bumped their record up to 8-2.

Mid Valley might still be hurting after the 77-52 defeat they got from Holy Cross when the teams last played back in February of 2024. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Mid Valley was down 42-18.
