Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Joshua Titus and Conner Eyink Lead Mechanicsburg to Victory

There's no place like home for Mechanicsburg, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They walked away with a 55-44 victory over the Triad Cardinals on Saturday. The win was some much needed relief for the Indians as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Leading Mechanicsburg to victory were Conner Eyink and Joshua Titus. Eyink went 7 for 13 on his way to 17 points in addition to seven steals and six boards, while Titus went 5 of 9 on his way to 13 points. What's more, Eyink also racked up five assists, the most he's had since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was Chris Ritchie, who posted three points.

Mechanicsburg's victory bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Triad, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mechanicsburg will head out to face off against Southeastern Local at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Triad, they will venture away from home to square off against Madison Plains at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Triad is facing Madison Plains at the right time seeing as Madison Plains is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
