Football Recap: Joliet Catholic Comes Up Short

Joliet Catholic lost against Chicago Mt. Carmel back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Hilltoppers took a blow against the Caravan, falling 35-7. While losing is never fun, the Hilltoppers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 51st, while the Caravan are ranked second).

Joliet Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Chicago Mt. Carmel, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

Coming up, Joliet Catholic will head out to take on De La Salle at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Hilltoppers will be up against the Meteors' rather soft defense (which has allowed 46.86 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Chicago Mt. Carmel, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Fenwick at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
