Baseball Recap: Juan Diego Catholic Extends Home Winning Streak to Four

Juan Diego Catholic won against Stansbury last Wednesday with three runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. The Soaring Eagle had just enough and edged out the Stallions 3-2. The Soaring Eagle haven't had any issues with the Stallions recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Hayden Mezenen was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Juan Diego Catholic pushed their record up to 9-9 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Stansbury, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Juan Diego Catholic will head out to take on Cottonwood at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Stansbury, they will venture away from home to square off against Ogden at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
