If Herron was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Irvington Preparatory Academy on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Achaeans fell just short of the Covenant Christian Warriors by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Achaeans' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Herron's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Covenant Christian, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Herron will face off against rival Mooresville at 7:00 p.m. on May 2. The Achaeans are on a three-game streak of home wins, the Pioneers a three-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind. Meanwhile, Covenant Christian is set to square off against their familiar foe Cathedral at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
