Softball Recap: Tiverton Falls Short Against Ranked Narragansett

Tiverton faced Narragansett in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Tigers fell 9-5 to the Mariners. The match marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Carlie Martin made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI and one double. Jersey-Ann Hastie was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.

Having lost for the first time this season, Tiverton fell to 15-1. As for Narragansett, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

Tiverton has already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Rogers on the 15th. As for Narragansett, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 16-1 win against Central on the 14th.
