Basketball Recap: Madison County Comes Up Short

Madison County lost against Central Woodstock back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Madison County Mountaineers had to suffer through a 62-15 loss at the hands of the Central Woodstock Falcons. The Mountaineers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

They used a three-pronged attack on offense: Lluna Fraile, Ally Cave, and Ayana Green posted four points each. Gracie Woodward held things down on the boards with ten rebounds.

Madison County's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Central Woodstock, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-5.

Madison County has already played their next match, a 63-26 victory against East Rockingham on the 15th. As for Central Woodstock, they will challenge Stonewall Jackson at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Central Woodstock is facing Stonewall Jackson at the right time seeing as Stonewall Jackson is stuck on a ten-game losing streak.
