Volleyball Recap: Bloomfield Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Bloomfield lost against Miyamura back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Bobcats fell 3-1 to the Patriots.

The final score came out to 25-19, 25-13, 23-25, 25-19.

Bloomfield's offense was headlined by Kailani Mariano and Sophia Gallegos, who picked up five kills apiece. Mariano really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with seven. Tiana Williamson controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Miyamura's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Giada Wagner, who had 12 digs and two aces. That's the most digs Wagner has posted over her last seven matches. Kenna Briggs was another key player, getting 11 digs.

Bloomfield's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Miyamura, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-9 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Bloomfield will challenge rival Kirtland Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Miyamura is set to take on their familiar foe Shiprock at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
