Softball Recap: Crestview Rebels vs. Garfield G-Men
Crestview took an 11-run defeat the last time they faced off against Garfield, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Rebels narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the G-Men 11-10. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Rebels considering their one-run performance the contest before.
Cassidee Buckley made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched. Buckley was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Makayla Mckee was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Gia Depace, who went 2-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and one double.
Crestview kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Crestview's victory bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Garfield, they moved to 6-7 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.
