Basketball Game Preview: Superior Central Cougars vs. North Dickinson Nordics

Superior Central is 1-8 against North Dickinson since February of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Superior Central Cougars are taking a road trip to square off against the North Dickinson Nordics at 7:15 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Thursday, Superior Central was able to grind out a solid victory over North Central, taking the game 27-20.

Meanwhile, North Dickinson had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They walked away with a 55-42 win over the Eagles.

North Dickinson pushed their record up to 8-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.7 points per game. As for Superior Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.

Superior Central came up short against North Dickinson in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, falling 32-22. Can Superior Central avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
