Basketball Recap: Camden Hills Takes a Loss

After flying high against Messalonskee last Monday, Camden Hills came back down to earth. The Camden Hills Windjammers opened the new year with a less-than-successful 62-50 defeat to the Medomak Valley Panthers. The loss continues a trend for the Windjammers in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now lost six in a row.

Camden Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Medomak Valley, their win was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Camden Hills will square off against Gardiner at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Medomak Valley, they will venture away from home to challenge Leavitt at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Medomak Valley knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven games -- so hopefully Leavitt likes a good challenge.
