Basketball Game Preview: Ooltewah Owls vs. Bradley Central Bears

Ooltewah is 0-10 against Bradley Central since February of 2020 but things could change on Saturday. The Ooltewah Owls will square off against the Bradley Central Bears at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Ooltewah will bounce into Saturday's matchup after beating East Hamilton, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. Ooltewah slipped by East Hamilton 47-46 on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Bradley Central entered their tilt with Howard Tech on Tuesday with eight consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with nine. They took their contest with ease, bagging an 88-11 victory over the Hustlin' Tigers. Given the Bears' advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked first, while the Hustlin' Tigers are ranked 353rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Bradley Central's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 27-1. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 10.0 points over those games. As for Ooltewah, the victory got them back to even at 15-15.

Ooltewah took a serious blow against Bradley Central when the teams last played back in January, falling 99-19. Can Ooltewah avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
