Volleyball Recap: Southeast of Saline Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Southeast of Saline can now relate to. They fell just short of the Garden Plain Owls by a score of 2-1 on Monday. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Southeast of Saline started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-17, 25-15.

Anna Puetz was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had ten digs.

Southeast of Saline's defeat dropped their record down to 11-26. As for Garden Plain, they are on a roll lately: they've won 22 of their last 26 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 29-8 record this season.

Southeast of Saline does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Garden Plain, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Trinity Academy on the 20th.
