Higley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Campo Verde Coyotes. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Knights of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2023.

Several Knights players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Shelby Sluiter, who had 15 digs.

Campo Verde had a senior duo take command as Giada Fede had seven digs and five aces and Alayna Kitch had six digs and 19 assists. Kitch is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted nine or more in the last 12 games she's played dating back to last season.
Higley now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Campo Verde, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Higley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 loss vs. Perry on the 12th. Campo Verde has also already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Williams Field on the 11th.
