Basketball Game Preview: Sedgwick Cardinals vs. Medicine Lodge Indians

The Sedgwick Cardinals will face off against the Medicine Lodge Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Sedgwick has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since January 20.

Sedgwick is likely headed into the matchup with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Classical on Tuesday. Sedgwick took a 56-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of Classical. While the Cardinals didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Saints 16-11 in the first quarter.

Meanwhile, Medicine Lodge came up short against Trinity Academy on Tuesday and fell 51-43. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Sedgwick's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Medicine Lodge, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-8.

Sedgwick came out on top in a nail-biter against Medicine Lodge when the teams last played back in January of 2023, sneaking past 42-40. Does Sedgwick have another victory up their sleeve, or will Medicine Lodge turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
