Softball Recap: Monroe Cheesemakers vs. Portage Warriors
Monroe had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Portage Warriors 3-2. The Cheesemakers haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Kaegann Paulson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on one hit. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.
