Basketball Recap: Brentsville District Takes a Loss

Brentsville District and Grafton squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Brentsville District had to settle for second. They took a 41-29 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Grafton Clippers. The Tigers have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second defeat in a row.

Taylor Ragland continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Grafton, dropping a double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds. What's more, Ragland also posted an 86% shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's achieved since back in January of 2024. Tiffany O'Connell was another key player, going 5-for-6 en route to 10 points.

Brentsville District's loss dropped their record down to 19-6. As for Grafton, they pushed their record up to 22-3 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home.

Brentsville District does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Grafton, they will square off against James Monroe at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. James Monroe will roll in looking for their 24th straight win, something Grafton surely won't give up without a fight.
