Softball Recap: Berean Christian Snags Fifth Win in Last Six Games

Berean Christian had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Concord on Tuesday. The Eagles never let the Bears get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won five games by eight runs or more so far this season.

The result came thanks to Audrey Longtin's shutout, as she gave up just a hit and racked up eight Ks. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.1 strikeouts per game.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Olivia Kundysek, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. LeAna Cimarra was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run.

Kundysek wasn't the only one working in the home run department: Berean Christian lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in March of 2024.

Berean Christian has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Concord, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.
