Cor Jesu Academy entered their tilt with O'Fallon on Saturday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Panthers. This was payback for the Chargers, who suffered a 2-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

Lauren Ortwerth paced Cor Jesu Academy's offense, picking up 13 kills. Ortwerth got some help from Avery Finney and her 16 assists.

Despite the loss, O'Fallon still got an impressive performance from Kayla Williams, who had 13 digs and four assists. Lilly Crader also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Cor Jesu Academy's victory bumped their record up to 14-5. As for O'Fallon, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-9.

Cor Jesu Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Mater Dei on the 4th. As for O'Fallon, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Waterloo on the 4th.
