Medway won against Nipmuc Regional on Friday with eight runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. The Mustangs were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over the Westwood Wolverines. While the Mustangs didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Matt Olynciw spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on six hits.

At the plate, Johnny Farrell was incredible, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.

Medway is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Westwood, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-3.

Looking ahead, Medway will be playing in front of their home fans against Ashland at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Westwood, they will venture away from home to face off against Bellingham at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Wolverines are facing the Blackhawks at the right time seeing as the Blackhawks are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
