It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Van Nuys had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the Bell Eagles 20-19. Winning may never get old, but the Wolves sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Van Nuys got a massive performance out of Nadia Ubaldo, who went 3-for-6 with two stolen bases, five RBI, and three runs. That's the most RBI Ubaldo has posted since back in April. Angelina Volpe was another key player, getting on base in all seven of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.

Van Nuys' record is now 12-9. As for Bell, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-14 record this season.

Van Nuys will square off against Palisades at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. The Dolphins have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.86 runs per game on average), something the Wolves will no doubt try to take advantage of. Bell does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
