Basketball Recap: Washington Leadership Academy Skates Past Richard Wright Public Charter School with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Washington Leadership Academy). They blew past the Richard Wright Public Charter School Spartans 85-35 on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Washington Leadership Academy also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2024.

Washington Leadership Academy's victory bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Richard Wright Public Charter School, they dropped their record down to 0-6 with the loss, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Washington Leadership Academy will challenge Maya Angelou Public Charter on Tuesday. As for Richard Wright Public Charter School, they will be playing at home against E.L. Haynes at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
