Marquette Catholic gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Kouts Mustangs & Fillies with a sharp 3-0 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Blazers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-19, 25-14.

Mackenzie Snyder paced Marquette Catholic's offense, picking up 14 kills. Snyder got some help from Sami Schenzel and her 34 assists. Kira Oman controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Marquette Catholic will hit the road for the first time this season to challenge Boone Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Kouts, they will welcome Highland at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
