Baseball Game Preview: Meadowbrook Colts vs. Caldwell Redskins

The Meadowbrook Colts will face off against the Caldwell Redskins at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meadowbrook is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

Meadowbrook managed to slip by Barnesville the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Colts lost 19-5 to the Shamrocks on Wednesday.

Austin Warner was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one run. Devin Wells was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Caldwell). They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Frontier 9-7. The victory was some much needed relief for the Redskins as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Meadowbrook's defeat dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Caldwell, their win bumped their record up to 8-9.

Meadowbrook might still be hurting after the 10-0 loss they got from Caldwell in their previous meeting back in April of 2025. Can the Colts avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
