Volleyball Game Preview: Chardon Hilltoppers vs. North Rangers + How To Watch

Chardon has gone 8-2 against North recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Hilltoppers are taking a road trip to square off against the Rangers at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

On Thursday, Chardon came up short against Riverside and fell 3-1. The loss continues a trend for the Hilltoppers in their meetings with the Beavers: they've now lost six in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-20, 23-25, 25-19.

Chardon's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Morgan Kilpeck, who had 13 digs and eight assists, and Claire Legan, who had nine digs and two aces. Kilpeck is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 13 or more in each of the last three games she's played. Madison Kilpeck also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Meanwhile, North came up short against South on Thursday, falling 3-0.

While North was not able to win a set, they sure kept things interesting: every set was decided by exactly two points. The final score came out to 25-23, 27-25, 26-24.

North's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Chardon, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 7-7.

Chardon beat North 3-1 in their previous matchup on September 11th. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hilltoppers since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
