Lakewood strolled into their game on Thursday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They blew past the St. Petersburg Green Devils 60-3. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Spartans' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 32nd, while the Green Devils are ranked 267th).

Lakewood got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ayden Wallace out in front who threw for 288 yards and three touchdowns while completing 73.3% of his passes. Those three passing touchdowns gave Wallace a new career-high. Shrodderick Pritchett Jr was in the mix as well, providing Lakewood with two scores.

Lakewood's run defense was locked in: St. Petersburg could only muster 2.8 yards per carry. The Spartans didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 11.8.

Lakewood's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for St. Petersburg, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-3.

Lakewood wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 58-7 victory against Tarpon Springs on the 26th. As for St. Petersburg, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 22-14 loss against Southeast on the 26th.
