Softball Recap: Eagleton College & Career Academy Comes Up Short

After flying high against Gatlinburg-Pittman on Wednesday, Eagleton College & Career Academy came back down to earth. The Royals lost 13-2 to the Alcoa Tornadoes on Wednesday. The loss continues a trend for the Royals in their meetings with the Tornadoes: they've now lost eight in a row.

Eagleton College & Career Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 19-15-1. As for Alcoa, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 21 of their last 23 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 34-6-1 record this season.

Eagleton College & Career Academy will head out on the road to take on South Greene at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Alcoa, they have already played their next contest, a 14-0 victory against Chuckey-Doak on the 12th.
