Soccer Game Preview: Ceres vs. Johansen

The Ceres Bulldogs will venture away from home to take on the Johansen Vikings at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

In Tuesday's Canine Competition, Ceres didn't have enough. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Livingston an easy 4-0 win. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with Wolves recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Meanwhile, Johansen's game on Tuesday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of Beyer by a score of 1-0. The Vikings' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Johansen's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Ceres, the loss was their first at home , dropping their record down to 3-3-4.

Ceres came up short against Johansen in their previous meeting back in January, falling 3-1. Can Ceres avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
