Basketball Recap: Derrek Griffin Key Part of Team Effort in Bobcats Win + How To Watch

The Glenn Bobcats didn't have too much trouble with the College Prep & Leadership Academy Royals on Wednesday as they won 67-51.

Glenn's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Derrek Griffin, who almost dropped a double-double with 14 points and nine steals. Those nine steals gave Griffin a new career-high. Semaj Galloway was another key player, putting up 21 points.

College Prep & Leadership Academy's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gvanni Byron, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 15 rebounds. Byron is crushing it when it comes to boards: he's pulled down at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Ryan Byrd, who posted 12 points.

Glenn's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for College Prep & Leadership Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Glenn will head out to challenge Thomasville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for College Prep & Leadership Academy, they will venture away from home to take on Leadership Academy at 7:30 p.m. on December 5.
