After a string of six wins, South County's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a 73-68 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Alexandria City Titans. If the Stallions were looking for revenge after losing 53-49 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Alexandria City got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Tarik Sesay out in front who dropped a double-double on 25 points and ten rebounds. The dominant performance gave Sesay a new career-high in points. Kyheim Johnson was another key player, going 7 for 12 on his way to 21 points and seven boards.

South County's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 10-3. As for Alexandria City, their victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 2-10.

South County will square off against Richwoods at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Alexandria City, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 62-49 loss against Robinson on the 17th.
