Basketball Game Preview: Channel Islands Raiders vs. Carpinteria Warriors

The Channel Islands Raiders will square off against the Carpinteria Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Channel Islands is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Hueneme, posting a 93-31 victory. The Raiders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Carpinteria entered their tilt with Malibu on Monday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Sharks 88-56. That 32 point margin sets a new team best for the Warriors this season.

Carpinteria is also on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.5 points per game. As for Channel Islands, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-5.
