It was a good run, but Alexander unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-match winning streak on Thursday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Villa Rica Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, with their most recent defeat being a 2-0 loss last Thursday.

Alexander's loss dropped their record down to 24-17. As for Villa Rica, their victory ended a four-match drought on the road and puts them at 24-9.

Alexander has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against New Manchester on the 9th. As for Villa Rica, they are on the road again on Saturday to play East Paulding at 10:00 a.m.
