The Tiverton Tigers are taking a road trip to take on the Rogers Vikings at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Tiverton is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.9 runs per game this season.

Tiverton is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Rhode Island's top teams: Narragansett, who was ranked 23rd at the time (Tiverton was ranked 15th). The Tigers fell 9-5 to the Mariners on Tuesday. The matchup marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Carlie Martin was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Jersey-Ann Hastie, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.

Cranston East hit Rogers with a four-run second inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Vikings came up short against the Thunderbolts, falling 12-2. The loss continues a trend for the Vikings in their meetings with the Thunderbolts: they've now lost six in a row.

Rogers' defeat dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Tiverton, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 15-1.

Tiverton beat Rogers 8-5 when the teams last played back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
