Softball Recap: Penney Hornets vs. Cameron Dragons

While Penney's win against Cameron wasn't quite the blowout they won the last time the pair played, they still came away the winners. The Penney Hornets skirted past the Cameron Dragons 9-7. Winning may never get old, but the Hornets sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Braelynn Calton spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and three unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up 13 Ks. Those 13 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.

At the plate, Briauna Conkling was excellent, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Breanna Moore, who went 1-for-3 with a double and an RBI.
