Volleyball Recap: Make It Five in a Row for the Vanguard School

The Vanguard School came tearing into Thursday's contest with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the St. Mary's Pirates. The Coursers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Pirates, too.

While The Vanguard School won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 26-24, 25-20.

The Vanguard School's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aili Haisley, who had 21 digs. Haisley has been hot for a while, having posted 15 or more digs the last ten times she's played. Ainsley Anderson was another key player, getting 13 assists and seven digs.
