Basketball Recap: Williamsburg Comes Up Short

Williamsburg has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They lost to the Whitley County Colonels on the road by a 83-68 margin on Tuesday. The Yellow Jackets lost against the Colonels in their previous head to head back in February of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 66-26 score last time.

Williamsburg's loss dropped their record down to 11-3. As for Whitley County, they pushed their record up to 12-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Williamsburg will square off against Corbin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Corbin has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 208 points over their last three matchups. As for Whitley County, they are taking a road trip to challenge South Laurel at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Whitley County's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight games.
